യിരെമ്യാവു 51:58

സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ബാബേലിന്റെ വിശാലമായ മതിലുകൾ അശേഷം ഇടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; അതിന്റെ ഉയർന്ന വാതിലുകൾ തീ പിടിച്ചു വെന്തുപോകും; അങ്ങനെ വംശങ്ങളുടെ അദ്ധ്വാനം വ്യർത്ഥമായും ജാതികളുടെ പ്രയത്നം തീക്കിരയായും തീരുകയും അവർ ക്ഷീണിച്ചുപോകയും ചെയ്യും.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.
