യിരെമ്യാവു 50:44

യോർദ്ദാന്റെ വൻകാട്ടിൽനിന്നു ഒരു സിംഹം എന്നപോലെ അവൻ, എപ്പോഴും പച്ചയായിരിക്കുന്ന മേച്ചൽ പുറങ്ങളിലേക്കു കയറിവരുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരെ പെട്ടെന്നു അതിൽനിന്നു ഓടിച്ചുകളയും; ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന ഒരാളെ അതിന്നു നിയമിക്കും; എനിക്കു സമനായവൻ ആർ? എനിക്കു നേരം കുറിക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ? എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കാകുന്ന ഇടയൻ ആർ?

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
