यिर्मयाह 47:2

“यहोवा यह कहता है कि देखो, उत्तर दिशा से उमड़नेवाली नदी47:2 उमड़नेवाली नदी: सेना की लाभ साझेदारी के लिए उपयोग किया गया रूपक है। देश को उस सब समेत जो उसमें है, और निवासियों समेत नगर को डुबो लेगी। तब मनुष्य चिल्लाएँगे, वरन् देश के सब रहनेवाले हाय-हाय करेंगे।

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
