Jeremia 42:2

en zij zeiden tot de profeet Jeremia: Laat toch onze smeking bij u gehoor vinden en bid voor ons tot de Here, uw God, voor dit gehele overblijfsel, want wij zijn als weinigen uit velen overgebleven, gelijk uw ogen ons aanschouwen;

And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)
