Jeremia 3:2

Lyft upp dina ögon över de kala höjderna [Juda] och se! Var har du inte legat [orenat dig med avgudar, se Jer 2:20]? Vid vägarna har du suttit för dem [väntat på älskarna] som en arab i vildmarken [kända för att råna förbipasserande karavaner, se Hos 6:9] och du har förorenat landet med din prostitution och din ondska.

Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.
