Jeremia 3:2

Sla uw ogen op naar de hoogten, en zie: Waar hebt gij u niet laten schenden? Langs de wegen zat ge naar hen te loeren, Als een Arabier in de steppe. Zo hebt ge het land bevuild Met uw ontucht en boosheid;

Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.
