Jeremia 38:16

Och Sidkia, kungen, gav sin ed i hemlighet till Jeremia och sa: ”Herren (Jahveh) lever, som har gjort till oss dessa själar (låtit oss leva). Jag ska inte döda dig och jag ska inte ge dig i dessa mäns hand som står efter ditt liv.”

So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.
