కాబట్టి యిర్మీయా ఇంకొక పుస్తకం చుట్టను తీసుకుని లేఖికుడైన నేరియా కొడుకు బారూకు చేతికి ఇచ్చినప్పుడు, అతడు యిర్మీయా నోటితో చెప్పిన మాటలనుబట్టి యూదా రాజైన యెహోయాకీము తగలబెట్టిన పుస్తకం చుట్టలోని మాటలన్నీ మళ్ళీ రాశాడు. ఆ మాటలే కాకుండా, అలాంటివి ఇంకా ఎన్నో మాటలు వాటికి జోడించి రాశాడు.

¶ Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
