അങ്ങനെ യിരെമ്യാവു നേര്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബാരൂക്കിനെ വിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ യിരെമ്യാവോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സകലവചനങ്ങളെയും അവന്റെ വാമൊഴിപ്രകാരം ബാരൂക്ക് ഒരു പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളിൽ എഴുതി.

Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.
