เยเรมีย์ 35:15

เราได้ส่งบรรดาผู้​รับใช้​ของเราคือผู้​พยากรณ์​มาหาเจ้า ส่งเขามาอย่างไม่​หยุดยั้ง​ ​กล่าวว่า​ ‘​บัดนี้​​เจ้​าทุกคนจงหันกลับจากทางชั่วของตน และแก้ไขการกระทำของเจ้าทั้งหลายเสีย อย่าไปติดตามพระอื่นเพื่อปรนนิบั​ติ​พระเหล่านั้น ​แล​้วเจ้าจะได้อาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดิน ซึ่งเราได้ประทานแก่​เจ้​าและบรรพบุรุษของเจ้า’ ​แต่​​เจ้​ามิ​ได้​​เงี่ยหู​หรือเชื่อฟังเรา

I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
