Jeremia 35:15

So habe ich auch stets zu euch gesandt alle meine Knechte, die Propheten, und lasse sagen: Bekehrt euch ein jeglicher von seinem bösen Wesen, und bessert euren Wandel und folgt nicht andern Göttern nach, ihnen zu dienen, so sollt ihr in dem Lande bleiben, welches ich euch und euren Vätern gegeben habe. Aber ihr wolltet eure Ohren nicht neigen noch mir gehorchen,

I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
