De ska komma och jubla på Sion [tempelberget i Jerusalem], de ska (strömma samman och) stråla av lycka över allt vad Herren (Jahveh) ger, över säd, vin [från druvor], och olja, över unga får och kalvar. Deras liv ska vara som en vattenrik trädgård, aldrig mer ska de tyna bort (förtvina, lida nöd).
