​องค์​พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรั​สว​่า “​ถึงแม้​ว่าเจ้าชำระตัวด้วยน้ำด่าง และใช้​สบู่​​มาก​ ​แต่​รอยเปื้อนความชั่วช้าของเจ้าก็ยังปรากฏอยู่ต่อหน้าเรา

For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD.
