เยเรมีย์ 29:1

​ต่อไปนี้​เป็นถ้อยคำในจดหมายซึ่งเยเรมีย์​ผู้​​พยากรณ์​ฝากไปจากกรุงเยรูซาเล็มถึงพวกผู้​ใหญ่​​ที่​​เหลืออยู่​ของพวกที่เป็นเชลย และถึงบรรดาปุโรหิต บรรดาผู้​พยากรณ์​ และประชาชนทั้งสิ้น ​ผู้​ซึ่งเนบูคัดเนสซาร์​ได้​​ให้​กวาดไปจากกรุงเยรูซาเล็มถึงบาบิ​โลน​

Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;
