യിരെമ്യാവു 21:9

ഈ നഗരത്തിൽ പാർക്കുന്നവൻ വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും മഹാമാരികൊണ്ടും മരിക്കും; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളെ നിരോധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കല്ദയരുടെ പക്ഷം ചെന്നുചേരുന്നവനോ ജീവനോടെ ഇരിക്കും; അവന്റെ ജീവൻ അവന്നു കൊള്ള കിട്ടിയതുപോലെ ഇരിക്കും.

He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.
