För så säger Herren (Jahveh): ”Se, jag ska göra (lämna över) dig till skräck för dig själv och för alla dina vänner [som du håller kära och som älskar dig] och de ska falla för sina fienders svärd och dina ögon ska se det. Och hela Juda ska jag ge i kungen av Babels (i den babyloniske kungens) hand och han ska föra bort dem till fångenskap i Babel och slå dem med svärd (svärdet).
