യിരെമ്യാവു 16:7

മരിച്ചവനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആരും വിലാപത്തിങ്കൽ അവർക്കു അപ്പം നുറുക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയില്ല; അപ്പനെച്ചൊല്ലിയോ അമ്മയെച്ചൊല്ലിയോ ആരും അവർക്കു ആശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പാനപാത്രം കുടിപ്പാൻ കൊടുക്കയുമില്ല.

Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
