అయ్యో నాకెంతో బాధ! అమ్మా! దేశస్థులందరితో కలహాలు పెట్టుకునేవాడిగా నన్ను కన్నావు. నేనెవరికీ అప్పివ్వలేదు, అప్పు తీసుకోలేదు. అయినా వారంతా నన్ను దూషిస్తున్నారు.

¶ Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.
