યર્મિયા 14:12

જ્યારે એ લોકો ઉપવાસ કરશે, ત્યારે હું એમની વિનંતી સાંભળનાર નથી. જ્યારે તેઓ મને દહનીયાર્પણ અને ખાદ્યાર્પણ ચઢાવે, ત્યારે હું તેઓનો અંગીકાર કરીશ નહિ. પણ હું તલવાર, દુકાળ અને મરકીથી તેઓનો અંત લાવીશ.”

When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.
