เยเรมีย์ 13:11

เพราะผ้าคาดเอวติ​ดอย​ู่​ที่​เอวของมนุษย์​ฉันใด​ เราก็​ได้​กระทำให้​วงศ์​วานทั้งสิ้นของอิสราเอลและวงศ์วานทั้งสิ้นของยูดาห์​ติ​​ดอย​ู่กับเราฉันนั้น พระเยโฮวาห์ตรั​สด​ังนี้ เพื่อเขาทั้งหลายจะเป็นประชาชน ​ชื่อเสียง​ ​ที่​​สรรเสริญ​ และสง่าราศี​แก่​​เรา​ ​แต่​เขาทั้งหลายก็​ไม่​​ฟัง​

For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
