เยเรมีย์ 11:8

ถึงกระนั้นเขาทั้งหลายก็​ไม่​เชื่อฟังหรือเงี่ยหู​ฟัง​ ​แต่​​ทุ​กคนดำเนินตามความดื้อกระด้างแห่งจิตใจอันชั่วร้ายของเขา ​เหตุ​​ฉะนี้​เราจึงจะนำซึ่งตามบรรดาถ้อยคำแห่งพันธสัญญานี้​ที่​เราได้บัญชาให้เขากระทำ ​แต่​เขามิ​ได้​กระทำตามนั้น ​ให้​มาตกเหนือเขา”

Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.
