ఆ విధంగా అబీమెలెకు తన డెబ్భైమంది సహోదరులను చంపడం వల్ల తన తండ్రికి చేసిన ద్రోహాన్ని దేవుడు మళ్ళీ అతని మీదకి రప్పించాడు.
