దేవుడు అబీమెలెకుకు, షెకెము నాయకులకు వైరం కలిగించే దురాత్మను వాళ్ళ మీదికి పంపాడు. అప్పుడు షెకెము నాయకులు అబీమేలెకుతో తమకున్న ఇప్పండం విషయంలో ద్రోహం చేశారు.
