​ดังนี้​แหละพวกมีเดียนก็​พ่ายแพ้​ต่อหน้าคนอิสราเอล ​ไม่​อาจยกศีรษะขึ้​นอ​ีกได้​เลย​ และแผ่นดิ​นก​็พักสงบอยู่ในสมัยของกิเดโอนถึงสี่​สิ​บปี
