사사기 8:28

미디안이 이스라엘 자손 앞에 복종하여 다시는 그 머리를 들지 못하였으므로 기드온의 사는 날 동안 사십년에 그 땅이 태평하였더라

¶ Thus was Midian subdued before the children of Israel, so that they lifted up their heads no more. And the country was in quietness forty years in the days of Gideon.
