Yahve Gidyon'a şöyle dedi: “Hâlâ çok fazla insan var. Onları suya indir, ben de onları senin için orada sınayacağım. Öyle olacak ki sana, 'Bu seninle gidecek' dediğim kişi seninle birlikte gidecek; ve sana, 'Bu seninle gitmeyecek' dediğim kişi gitmeyecek.”
