Zodra Gideon het verhaal van de droom en de uitlegging daarvan gehoord had, boog hij zich in aanbidding neder; daarop keerde hij terug naar de legerplaats van Israël en zeide: Staat op, want de Here heeft de legerplaats van Midjan in uw macht gegeven.
