அப்பொழுது கிதியோன், தன்னுடைய வேலையாட்களில் பத்துப்பேரைச் சேர்த்து, யெகோவா தனக்குச் சொன்னபடியே செய்தான்; அவன் தன்னுடைய தகப்பன் குடும்பத்தாருக்கும் அந்த ஊர் மனிதர்களுக்கும் பயந்ததினாலே, அதைப் பகலிலே செய்யாமல், இரவிலே செய்தான்.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
