பின்னும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குத் தீமையானதைச் செய்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது யெகோவா அவர்களை ஏழு வருடங்கள் மீதியானியர்களின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.
