तब इस्राएलियों ने यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा किया, इसलिए यहोवा ने उन्हें मिद्यानियों के वश में सात वर्ष कर रखा।

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.
