Sesudah itu Sisera tertidur karena kelelahan. Kemudian Yael mengambil sebatang pasak kemah dan sebuah palu, lalu mendekati Sisera dengan diam-diam. Dia memalu pasak itu ke pelipis kepala Sisera sampai menembus ke tanah. Sisera pun mati.
