എന്നാറെ ഗിബെയാനിവാസികൾ എന്റെ നേരെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു രാത്രിയിൽ എന്റെ നിമിത്തം വീടുവളഞ്ഞു എന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ ഭാവിച്ചു; എന്റെ വെപ്പാട്ടിയെ അവർ ബലാല്ക്കാരം ചെയ്തതിനാൽ അവൾ മരിച്ചുപോയി.

And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and beset the house round about upon me by night, and thought to have slain me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead.
