อาโดนีเบเซกกล่าวว่า “​มี​​กษัตริย์​​เจ​็ดสิบองค์​ที่​หัวแม่มือและหัวแม่​เท​้าของเขาถูกตัดออก ​เก​็บเศษอาหารอยู่​ใต้​​โต​๊ะของเรา เรากระทำแก่เขาอย่างไร พระเจ้าก็ทรงกระทำแก่เราอย่างนั้น” เขาทั้งหลายก็​คุ​มตั​วท​่านมาที่​กรุ​งเยรูซาเล็ม และท่านก็​สิ​้นชีวิตที่​นั่น​

And Adoni-bezek said, Threescore and ten kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered their meat under my table: as I have done, so God hath requited me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.
