நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தார்கள், பெத்ஷிமேசில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களையும், பெத்தானாத்தில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களையும் துரத்திவிடாமல், தேசத்தில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களாகிய கானானியர்களோடு குடியிருந்தார்கள்; பெத்ஷிமேஸ், பெத்தானாத் பட்டணங்களில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களும் அவர்களுக்கு கடினமாக வேலை செய்வதற்குக் கட்டாயப்படுத்தப்பட்டார்கள்.

¶ Neither did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh, nor the inhabitants of Beth-anath; but he dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: nevertheless the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh and of Beth-anath became tributaries unto them.
