நியாயாதிபதிகள் 1:3

அப்பொழுது யூதாவின் மனிதர்கள் தங்களுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய சிமியோனின் மனிதர்களை நோக்கி: நாம் கானானியர்களோடு யுத்தம்செய்ய நீங்கள் என்னுடைய சுதந்திரப் பங்குவீதத்தில் எங்களோடு எழுந்துவாருங்கள்; உங்களுடைய சுதந்திரப் பங்குவீதத்தில் நாங்களும் உங்களோடு வருவோம் என்றார்கள்; அப்படியே சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தார்கள் அவர்களோடு போனார்கள்.

And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.
