اَلْقُضَاة 1:28

وَكَانَ لَمَّا تَشَدَّدَ إِسْرَائِيلُ أَنَّهُ وَضَعَ ٱلْكَنْعَانِيِّينَ تَحْتَ ٱلْجِزْيَةِ وَلَمْ يَطْرُدْهُمْ طَرْدًا.

And it came to pass, when Israel was strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, and did not utterly drive them out.
