కాని వాళ్ళు అతని మాట వినలేదు. దాంతో ఆ వ్యక్తి తన ఉంపుడుగత్తెను బయట ఉన్న వాళ్ళ దగ్గరికి తీసుకు వెళ్ళాడు. వాళ్ళు ఆమెను పట్టుకుని రాత్రంతా మానభంగం చేస్తూ, లైంగికంగా హింసిస్తూ ఉన్నారు. తెల్లవారుతుండగా ఆమెను విడిచి వెళ్ళారు.

But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.
