நியாயாதிபதிகள் 14:3

அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய தாயும் அவனுடைய தகப்பனும் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ போய், விருத்தசேதனமில்லாத பெலிஸ்தர்களிடத்தில் ஒரு பெண்ணை திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ளவேண்டியதென்ன? உன்னுடைய சகோதரர்களின் மகள்களிலும், எங்கள் மக்கள் அனைவரிலும் பெண் இல்லையா என்றார்கள். சிம்சோன் தன்னுடைய தகப்பனை நோக்கி: அவள் என்னுடைய கண்ணுக்குப் பிரியமானவள், அவளையே திருமணம் செய்துவைக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.

Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.
