न्यायियों 12:6

तो वे उससे कहते, “अच्छा, शिब्बोलेत कह,” और वह कहता, “सिब्बोलेत,” क्योंकि उससे वह ठीक से बोला नहीं जाता था; तब वे उसको पकड़कर यरदन के घाट पर मार डालते थे। इस प्रकार उस समय बयालीस हजार एप्रैमी मारे गए।

Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.
