Daarop zeiden de oudsten van Gilead tot Jefta: Inderdaad, wij zijn bij u teruggekomen, ga met ons mee en strijd tegen de Ammonieten; dan zult gij hoofd zijn over ons, over alle bewoners van Gilead.
