Daarna wandelde hij in de woestijn, en toog om het land der Edomieten en het land der Moabieten, en kwam van den opgang der zon aan het land der Moabieten, en zij legerden zich op gene zijde van de Arnon; maar zij kwamen niet binnen de landpale der Moabieten; want de Arnon is de landpale der Moabieten.

Then they went along through the wilderness, and compassed the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab.
