എന്നാൽ യിഫ്താഹ് മിസ്പയിൽ തന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുമ്പോൾ ഇതാ, അവന്റെ മകൾ തപ്പോടും നൃത്തത്തോടും കൂടെ അവനെ എതിരേറ്റുവരുന്നു; അവൾ അവന്നു ഏകപുത്രി ആയിരുന്നു; അവളല്ലാതെ അവന്നു മകനുമില്ല മകളുമില്ല.

¶ And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter.
