ગિલ્યાદની પત્નીએ પણ દીકરાઓને જન્મ આપ્યો હતો. જયારે તે દીકરાઓ મોટા થયા, ત્યારે તેઓએ યિફતાને ઘર છોડી દેવા બળજબરી કરી અને તેને કહ્યું, “અમારા ઘરમાંથી તને કોઈપણ પ્રકારનો વારસો મળશે નહિ. કેમ કે તું બીજી સ્ત્રીનો દીકરો છે.”
