Jesaja 54:9

För mig är detta som Noas vatten (flod) [1 Mos 6-9 – denna tid kan liknas vid Noas dagar], när jag lovade att Noas flod aldrig skulle komma över jorden igen [1 Mos 9:11]. På samma sätt lovar jag nu att aldrig mer bli arg på dig eller tillrättavisa dig (tydligt visa dig vad du gjort fel och gå till rätta med dig).

For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
