ஏசாயா 49:6

யாக்கோபின் வம்சங்களை எழுப்பவும், இஸ்ரவேலில் காக்கப்பட்டவர்களைத் திருப்பவும், நீர் எனக்குத் தாசனாயிருப்பது அற்பகாரியமாயிருக்கிறது; நீர் பூமியின் முடிவுவரைக்கும் என்னுடைய இரட்சிப்பாயிருக்கும்படி, உம்மை தேசங்களுக்கு ஒளியாகவும் வைப்பேன் என்கிறார்.

And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
