Detta är vad Herren säger [Gud Faderns ord till sonen Messias]: I en tid av nåd (villkorad nåd – hebr. ratson) svarar jag dig, på frälsningens dag hjälper jag dig. Jag skyddar dig och ska göra dig till ett förbund för folket [folket i singular syftar alltid på Israel, se Jes 42:6]. Landet ska bli upprättat (återuppbyggt), och de övergivna jordlotterna ska fördelas.
