यशायाह 47:9

सुन, ये दोनों दुःख अर्थात् लड़कों का जाता रहना और विधवा हो जाना, अचानक एक ही दिन तुझ पर आ पड़ेंगे। तेरे बहुत से टोन्हों और तेरे भारी-भारी तंत्र-मंत्रों के रहते भी ये तुझ पर अपने पूरे बल से आ पड़ेंगे। (प्रका. 18:8,23)

But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
