ஏசாயா 45:1

யெகோவாவாகிய நான் அபிஷேகம்செய்த கோரேசுக்கு முன்பாக தேசங்களைக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, ராஜாக்களின் இடைக்கட்டுகளை அவிழ்க்கும்படிக்கும், அவனுக்கு முன்பாக வாசல்கள் பூட்டப்படாதிருக்க, கதவுகளைத் திறந்து வைக்கும்படிக்கும், அவனைப் பார்த்து, அவன் வலதுகையைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, அவனுக்குச் சொல்கிறதாவது:

Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
