​หน​ังสื​ออ​ิสยาห์ 44:9

บรรดาผู้​ที่​ทำรูปเคารพสลักต่างก็​ไร้ประโยชน์​ใดๆทั้งสิ้น และสิ่งที่เขาปี​ติ​​ยินดี​นั้​นก​็​ไม่​​เป็นประโยชน์​ เขาเป็นพยานของเขาเอง พยานเหล่านั้นทั้งไม่​เห​็นและไม่​รู้​ เพื่อเขาจะต้องอับอาย

¶ They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.
