Jesaja 43:24

Gij hebt Mij voor zilver geen kalmoes gekocht en met het vet uwer slachtoffers hebt gij Mij niet gelaafd. Neen, gij zijt Mij lastig gevallen met uw zonden, hebt Mij moeite aangedaan met uw ongerechtigheden.

Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
